SuperDuper provides users with a backup system that allows for the creation of bootable backup tasks. The backups can be stored on a different device or on the same disk as the original data. Users have the option to choose whether to repair permissions before running the backup, as well as specify the frequency of the backup tasks. Scripts can also be executed before and after the backup process.
Furthermore, there are four methods of backing up data with SuperDuper:
- Complete backup: erases the original data;
- Incremental backup: copies only the modified files;
- New file backup: copies only the files created since the last backup;
- Differential backup: identifies differences between the backup file and the original data.
After completing the backup process, users can choose to shut down, restart, or put their computer to sleep using SuperDuper.
